Reach Capital launches Private Wealth Solution services, appoints Paul-Edouard Falck as Director of Private Wealth Solutions, and publishes a survey on private wealth investor sentiment.


17 January 2024, Paris - Reach Capital, a leading European advisory firm and placement agent, is pleased to announce the launch of its new Private Wealth Solutions offering, which aims to support GPs in the democratization of their fundraising. The firm has appointed Paul-Edouard Falck as Director of Private Wealth Solutions to head up this service.

With this new service, Reach Capital is seeking out asset managers who are looking to target new clients in the private wealth market.

Reach Capital’s mission is to help GPs build their own Private Wealth Solutions departments.

To help them become leaders in this emerging market, Reach Capital will guide its clients through the three key steps of raising a fund that is accessible to all types of investors by:
● Structuring funds to meet the needs of Private Wealth investors
● Supporting asset managers in creating specialized marketing materials
● Fundraising whilst connecting GPs to relevant French private wealth investors

To help its clients and future partners to better understand this new market, Reach Capital surveyed north of 100 French wealth managers, such as private banks, financial advisors, and life insurers. The study is geared at understanding the sentiments and expectations of French investors, as well as their views on the private wealth market’s potential. This survey allows investors’ advisors to opine on other relevant factors when structuring funds dedicated to private investors, such as investment ticket sizes, associated fees, and capital calls.

Firstly, the study reveals that there is a clear appetite for private markets, with 70% of respondents targeting fundraise of €1m or more in 2024 for their clients, and 30% of these targeting €10m or more.
The results also demonstrate that private wealth investors favor similar investment strategies to institutional investors, which plan to prioritize private debt, secondaries, infrastructure, and midcap LBO
strategies.

The study discloses that 75% of wealth managers think that non-listed fund offerings in the French life insurance market are inadequate and have not been sufficiently developed.
The other results of Reach’s research further delve into investors’ perceptions of private markets, their investment preferences, as well as their commercialization and envelope preferences.

Paul-Edouard Falck has been appointed Director of Private Wealth Solutions. Paul-Edouard has over 10 years’ experience in structuring specialized investment vehicles, and has supervised the raising of more than €1bn in funds for non-professional investors across firms such as Peqan, NextStage AM, and Novaxia. Reach Capital will benefit from his expertise in the field, namely his in-depth understanding of the French investment ecosystem, and his network of contacts in private banks, financial advisors, and life insurance firms.

Paul-Edouard will join the Paris team, where he will lead the Private Wealth Department under Managing Partners William Barrett and Jean-Philippe Boige.
